Golf at Centre Hills features three distinctive nine-hole layouts: The Findlay, The Jones, and The Clark. All three offer a challenge to varying skill levels and provide a variety of tees.

The original nine-hole course – The Findlay – serves as the Club’s Front Nine. Opening in 1922, it was designed by Alexander Findlay, known to many as the Father of American Golf. Renowned builder and course architect Francis James led the construction. With a few exceptions, The Findlay holes remain essentially unchanged today. Narrow fairways and small, well-bunkered greens make this a joy and challenge to play.

The Club’s Back Nine – The Jones – opened in 1967 under the direction of celebrated golf course architect Robert Trent Jones. The Jones course incorporates water features on five of its holes with the notable Slab Cabin Run, a tributary of Spring Creek, beautifully running through.

The third nine holes – The Clark – lies adjacent to the Club’s practice facility and opened in 1992. Using innovative design concepts, Edmund Ault led the development and completion along with CHCC Club President Herbert Imbt.

Centre Hills’ 27-holes are manicured with bent grass fairways and have long been credited for having among the best (and fastest!) greens in Pennsylvania. Contact PGA Professional, Sean Farren, at [email protected] for more information on our historic and celebrated golf facilities.
